⁵ So David said, “Look, tomorrow is the New Moon feast,^(A) and I am supposed to dine with the king; but let me go and hide^(B) in the field until the evening of the day after tomorrow.

⁸ the^[a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

⁶ This is the one who came by water and blood^(A)—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.^(B)

¹⁵ Neither do we go beyond our limits^(A) by boasting of work done by others.^(B) Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow,^(C) our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand,

¹⁴ Then I moved on toward the Fountain Gate^(A) and the King’s Pool,^(B) but there was not enough room for my mount to get through;
